The other hose reel cart is this very plain, utilitarian piece next to the front doors.

Sadly in need of substantial restoration. Part of the Andy Leider collection. These are available for adoption which means you go over there and take care of them.

A combination hose reel and dis-mountable hand pump from Bellmore LI VFD. Purchased in 1896 from the Brooklyn NY FD. The hand pump is mounted on the board which sits across the axles.

I don't recall ever having seen a photo of an apparatus of this style.  This is a combination 2-tank chemical (two upright tanks) with a hose reel.  This piece was used by the Somerville, Massachusetts F.D.  There are lots of chemical and hose wagon combinations, but the upright tanks and the use of the reel make this rig an oddity.

Patterson, New Jersey - Cataract #2
A beautiful reel, just check out the lamp, posed in front of a handsome station.  Cataract is one of those names that comes up quite a bit with early fire companies.
