June 3, 2020 - Youngstown Fire Station No. 9 is the first station in the city to be browned out. Low department staffing plus no remaining overtime money caused the city to take additional cost saving measures. The station will open if there are enough firefighters on a shift to staff it. January 14, 2021 - 2021 has been a bad year so far for crashes on area expressways. A crash involving a semi truck damaged the Mahoning Ave bridge at I-680 on January 12th.
