Civilian Fire Deaths in Youngstown, Ohio

Eternal_fire.jpg

Unfortunately the year 1993 was not without tragedy and sorrow. For as much as the firefighters tried they could not rescue the 11 civilians who perished due to fire during the year. The firefighters understand that many times there is absolutely nothing we can do. But the call to 151 W. Glenaven during the Christmas season where seven (7) members of the Neeley family perished will be a call that the firefighters will remember for years to come. ~Fire Chief Hector Colon, 1993 YFD Annual Report.
